23 passengers have sustained serious injuries in a road accident involving a Sprinter Benz Bus number GR 1126-16 at Gomoa Buduata junction on the Kasoa Winneba Highway Monday night.
Eyewitness tell www.ghanagong.com the Sprinter Benz Bus blew its back tire and somersaulted about 5 times.
The Dominase District Police Commander DSP Paul Annkan also confirmed the accident. He advised drivers limit their speed to avoid rampant accidents on our roads.
Winneba Divisional Assistant fire officer Frederick Gyimah also narrated the accident to our correspondent.
“We heard of the accident around 10pm and rushed here. Though people were hurt, we thank God no one died. We learn the driver blew a back tire and lost control. When you burst a tire, you should be sure not to step on the brake pedal but rather guide the car by the steering wheel to safety” he advised.
He says all the injured persons have been conveyed to the Hospital in Winneba where they are receiving treatment.
