Ghana Agriculture News-Some traditional Authorities seem to have welcomed the idea of Ghana spreading her wings beyond cocoa production as far as cash crop development is concerned.

A strategic plan that launches Ghana into full scale coffee production was launched two weeks ago at the Marriot International Hotel in Accra.

It came to light at the conference that even before the commencement of the Project, Chiefs have started donating hefty pieces of lands for the project.

Chief of Bepong; Nana Bawuah II has set the ball rolling. He has donated one thousand (1,000) acres of farm land for the model farm project.

President of the Coffee Federation of Ghana; Chief Nathaniel Ebo Nsarko in his speech extended great appreciation for the gesture.

He called on all institutions and persons with knowledge in the coffee value chain to come on board to spring Ghana onto the international coffee market.

The project will utilize some 2,000 hectares of farm lands part of which will be provided by Kuapa Kokoo who are partnering the Coffee Federation of Ghana.

Other partners for the project include Lavazza, Planting for Rural Development (PERD), Ministry of Agriculture, Millennium Promise Alliance (MPA),
