Ghana News–Kuapa Kokoo, a leading kokoo industry player in Ghana has resolved to stop fraudulent activities within the cocoa business.

They intend to do this by deploying technological tools as well as programs and policies that will help weed out corrupt officers who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of the cocoa farmer.

Managing Director for Kuapa Kokoo Limited (KKL); Mr. Samuel Adimado revealed during the grand opening of Kuapa kokoo’s 25th Anniversary at Tepa that the company will network all its operation centers across the country electronically with state of the art equipment.

He also explains that his outfit will strengthen the purchasing powers of their recorders by providing them with funds required while building the capacity of their district managers on the use of electronic purchasing equipment yet to be deployed.

“When done, this should help management monitor closely all activities and transactions at our various units across the country in real time”, he said.

Over a thousand farmers and other stakeholders converged at Tepa Thursday to mark the opening of Kuapa Kokoo’s 25th anniversary under the theme; “Celebrating 25 years of pioneering sustainable cocoa production”.

The excited farmers also benefited from a mobile clinic program during which they had their health checked, consulted medical practitioners and took medicines.
