If you are a male in Africa generally or in Ghana, then you are most likely no stranger to these stereotypes about what a “real man” is or should be.

If you are from any other continent outside Africa, you might want to read these carefully so you are not shocked when you visit Ghana one day.

  • Big penis

Of course you have a penis but by the Ghanaian stereotypical logic, a man should have a sizable penis to qualify as a man.

This is a huge headache for men who are not so fortunate in that department but as you probably know by now, not much can be done about it.

There are a huge number of true stories about “small” men who lost their women to “bigger” men. It gets worse…

There are men who have committed suicides due to the embarrassment of the public knowing through their wives or girlfriends how small their dicks are.

When an African lady emphasizes a “real” man in a conversation around you, you might want to get some measuring devices to check if you qualify.

  • Ability to last long during sex

Don’t get it twisted. A Ghanaian lady can get extremely angry with you and even break off communication with you just because you ejaculated too early during intercourse. You doubt that? Try it in Ghana and see what happens.

If you ejaculate before she climaxes, your “manhood” is suspect. At that moment, it may not matter how well hanged you are. Premature ejaculation could be your bane as far as your “respect” among the lady folk is concerned.  You might want to check the number of herbal delay products on the market…it might give you an idea how important sexual stamina is to your being a man in Ghana.

  • Ability to get a woman pregnant

It is quite simple. You should be able to impregnate a lady or else you are no good being called a man in Ghana. Often, there is not pity on men when it comes to issues of sex. You might suffer greatly for sexual malfunctions that are not even your making. Be in perfect sexual condition and constantly ready for use if you want to be a real man. Your seed should also result in procreation.

  • Great appetite

If you cannot clear your wife or girlfriend’s meals every time it is set before you, you may have questions to answer regarding your manhood. In Ghana, men have to eat heavy, eat fast and eat every meal your woman cooks whether you are full or not.

  • Physical build

A “real man” in Ghana should be tall and somewhat heavily built. If you fall far from this description, well…you might have to compensate in other departments as related to your genitalia.

  • Passion for soccer

Well, this one will most likely not come from the ladies but other “men”. If you don’t watch the soccer game that every “man” is watching, then you might as well go menstruate with the females as far as they are concerned.

  • Tolerance for alcohol

“A man’s mouth has to smell like that of a man”. This is a translation of a popular Akan saying among men in Ghana. A man has to know how to drink a little liquor before meals, a little during sad times, a little during happy occasions, as well as a little before sex.

  • Money

Like elsewhere in the world, money answereth all. If you have a lot of money to dole out to the ladies, and some property to your name, you are good to go. In fact, you are a complete man…until you get to the bedroom.

  • Ability to bath cold water

This one might shock you to your core but you are expected to be able to bath cold water at any time, whether or not you feel like it. Request to use a heater and the question will be; “why, are you a woman?”

  • Courage

The “real man” has to always face the incoming danger. If you run from danger, you are a “woman”. The “man” must face the king cobra that found its way into the room or the angry guy brandishing a machete.
