People with disabilities in Ghana say they are ready to  demonstrate for their share of the common fund.

A press statement issued by the Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana federation of the Disabled (GFD) and signed by their President Alfred Tabi Amponsah appealed to the Minster of Local Government and all who matter as far as the allocation and distribution of their 3% share of the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly Common Fund (MMDACF) is concerned to come to their aid.

Persons with disabilities have been suffering to access their due of the fund.

They say not only is the funds insufficient for the needs but also delays unduly.

According to them their share has been in areas since last quarter of 2016; a situation they consider unfair.

They say barring any immediate interventions, they should hit the streets very soon.
