About five different shops and at least a car have been razed down completely by fire at sefwi Bekwai.
The fire which started around 8pm last night was finally brought under control by personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service at Sefwi Wiawso.
Eyewitnesses say though the fire personnel showed up after all the shops had been consumed, their intervention prevented the fire from spreading to other surrounding property.
The shops, just opposite the Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School and adjacent the Green Roof Hotel along the Sefwi Bekwai -Kumasi road.
Hundreds of people run to the scene to help salvage some items from the raging inferno.
The cause of the fire was not known at the time of filing this report.
