Ghana News-A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region says Joseph Yammin is the only person who can help the NDC win serious votes to upset the perception that the Ashanti region is an NPP stronghold.
Afrifa Yamoah Ponko who picked nomination forms on behalf of Joseph Yammin Tuesday also believes strongly that the former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister is the only one at the moment who can stand up to NPP Chairman; Bernard Antwi Boasiako and help the NDC make significant strides towards election 2020.
Joseph Yammin seeks to become Ashanti regional Chairman of the NDC. Already, he has held several positions within the party including that of Ashanti regional Secretary and is touted to have played a very powerful role in the NDC’s recapture of power from the erstwhile Kufour administration.
Joseph Yammin’s main contender is Nana Akwasi; a business man and first Vice Chairman of the NDC in the region.
