The impact of prayer on business success
The purpose of this piece is to inspire Christian Entrepreneurs and Professionals to cultivate the habit of engaging God in every aspect of their businesses.
Indeed, there are people(including some believers) who argue that one does not need prayer to succeed in business and they based their argument on the fact that billionaire entrepreneurs like Richard Branson, Mark Zuckerberg, Mark Cuban, Bill Gates do very little prayer (if any at all)….When it comes to business.
What then is the point in engaging in prayer when it comes to business?
Such people argue that passion, commitment, hard work and industry knowledge just to mention a few are all a person needs to make it in business. As you should know, this is a complete “half truth”‘…because these things do not necessarily guarantee business success in itself. If indeed, business knowledge alone and been smart was all that one needs to do well in business, then we wouldn’t see highly successful business people often consulting all kinds of mediums in their quest to do well in business. There must be something more!
Christians Must Play a different Game?
Again, the fact that some people can succeed in life without depending on God (and prayer) does not mean believers should do same. Indeed, believers must play a different game….Jesus said “Without me, ye can do nothing …” Mark Zuckerberg may not depend on Jesus and prayer but that does not mean you must do same. The devil does not attack people who are on His side and carrying out his agenda ….Remember?
GOD WANTS TO BE INVOLVED IN YOUR BUSINESS.
This is where some believers get it wrong. Your success in business as a believer is a combination of your knowledge, skills/expertise and as well as prayer and dependence on God. Remember, a believer who does not need God’s help to succeed in business and any other aspect of his life cannot please God.
Simply put, God wants to be involved in every area of our lives…including business and entrepreneurship and even political leadership.
As believers, everything we do and seek to succeed in including business will face opposition from the camp of the enemy. This is why we need prayer to make our businesses profitable and sustainable.
WHY THE DEVIL FIGHTS AGAINST CHRISTIAN ENTREPRENEURS:
How does an entrepreneur pay tithes and keep sponsoring the gospel and preachers if his business is not doing well?
As you should know, the devil is against anyone who seeks to advance the kingdom through any means including business.
Remember, the success of the Christian Entrepreneur poses a serious threat to the kingdom of darkness.
The devil may never fight against Sir Richard Branson because his success in business may cause any harm to the devil’s kingdom ….but not the Holy Ghost filled Christian Entrepreneur who is seeking to make millions to advance the kingdom.
This is why Christian Entrepreneurs must take the subject of prayer more seriously when it comes to business…!!!
To wit, the devil and his agents will fight believers who seek to succeed in business and entrepreneurship in order to finance the preaching of the gospel and help transform society for good.
Again this is why Christian Entrepreneurs and Professionals need to understand the “IMPACT OF PRAYER ON BUSINESS SUCCESS”.
Business is a more spiritual activity than we think! We must not relegate prayer to the background. No! NOT at all…
