An Asokwa constituency secretary hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Papa Yaw Asare-Bediako says his decision to contest for an executive position is to provide quality service to the people of Asokwa.

This service, he noted will be done in humility so that everyone no matter their status could approach him with any challenge they may be facing.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper moments after officially making his intentions clear to delegates of Asokwa, Papa Yaw noted that his desire is to see a fruitful relationship between executives of the party and its members.

This singular resolve, he mentioned encourages him to reach out to all in the constituency so as to help make Asokwa NPP a vibrant and an appealing branch.

‘’I am entering this race as secretary hopeful not because I just want the position but rather to use this position to provide service in a humble manner’’, Papa Yaw promised.

DRIVE:
Papa Yaw noted his intention is something which is borne out of a will and a renewed spirit to ensure things are done better this time around in the executive branch of the constituency.

The position of a constituency secretary entails a lot apart from the day to day running of the executive functions of the office, the aspirant posited.

According to him, ordinary members and delegates of the party must see some sense of dynamism in their secretary.

This dynamism, Papa Yaw, as the hopeful is fondly referred to by friends noted is what he is bringing on board the Asokwa NPP bandwagon.

‘’Gone are the days when secretaries at constituency offices sat without doing nothing but I promise to infuse some dynamism to this office if the good people of Asokwa endorse my candidature in the upcoming constituency elections’, Papa Yaw assured.

WELFARE:
The constituency secretary hopeful mentioned his desire to work for the common good of the party’s grass-root supporters.

These members, Papa Yaw mentioned are those who stand in the stead of the party through thick and thin, adding everything should be done at the executive level to ensure they are well catered for.

The aspirant, who is the political aide of the Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Madam Patricia Appiagyei assured support for the members of the party who desire to further their education.

He also promised to seek for avenues where those needing support for any skill or training is provided with same to make them responsible members.

‘’Seeking for the opportunity to serve is to also have in mind the challenges of the people who you will be working for so that while you give them support they also work to better their lot and that of the NPP party’’, Papa Yaw stated.
