Killian Donkor is a goal-oriented and self-motivated individual with over thirty years experience in entrepreneurship, construction, metal works and political leadership.
Born on March 6th, 1971 to the Asumadu Royal Family of Dzigbe, Killian is well bred with the customs and traditions of the people of Kpando.
Killian moved from Dzigbe to Kpando at a young age, witnessing first-hand the stark difference in work dynamics between the local community and a peri-urban. He believed that enhancing on the technical skills of local people could drive economic growth and improve the living standards of the people. This motivated him to pursue a career in Technical Vocational Training at the Kpando Technical Institute where he obtained intermediate and advanced certificates in welding and fabrication Technology.
He later set-up his own welding company which he uses to offer free training for young people within the Kpando municipality. Killian has since travelled across the continent, learning from other cultures and enhancing his capacity in other fields such as leadership, insurance and business development.
In his quest to create opportunities for others and impact his community, Killian embarked on his political journey in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) some thirty plus years ago. He rose through the ranks of the party as a branch chairman, ward coordinator, deputy constituency treasurer, constituency chairman, parliamentary candidate aspirant; whiles serving on various committees within Kpando and Volta Region. In the 2024 elections, Killian was involved in the nationwide distribution of party logistics and led the campaign of the member of parliament of Kpando; Sebastian Deh. He is now the President’s representative as the municipal chief executive for Kpando municipality.
Killian is committed to improving the lives of people particularly those from poor and underserved communities. Through his own personal experience, he intends to expand access to education and social amenities to drive economic growth and development.
Killian is happily married with children.
