Pastor Ransford Obeng in a meeting with Journalists in Kumasi

Founder and Leader of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) has cast doubts on election predictions thrown around by numerous “men of God”.

At a meeting with journalists in Kumasi, Pastor Ransford Obeng was asked by Bernard Buachi of rawgist.com how election prophesies should be taken this election year. Pastor Ransford explained that “there is nothing like anybody seeing ditto ditto. We all see in parts. Anybody can do predictions but we don’t have 100% predictions.”

Pastor Ransford Obeng also explained that “God is interested in each one of us personally and God uses people to decide. When you look at the Israelites, God wanted a different person but the people wanted Saul so God gave them Saul. So when it comes to elections, it is the choice of the people” he stressed.

He says all that “men of God” can do is to pray for a peaceful atmosphere for the elections.

In Ghana, a new year begins with numerous prophecies from self-acclaimed men of God on a variety of national issues. Many also take to predicting who will win an election if it is an election year.

Ghanaians will be going to the polls later this year to elect a new President and Members of Parliament.

Already, conflicting prophecies have been put out, all claiming to be from God.

Pastor Ransford Obeng however says that as far as elections are concerned, it is the will of the people that will prevail.
